High School

“Teach a youth about the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” – Proverbs 22:6

Our mission is to reach the youth where they are by interacting with them in their daily lives and by understanding the place in life that they are in.  We believe the youth are not only the future, but the NOW, and we must empower them to stand up in their faith from middle school into college – so that when they grow older, they have a foundation of faith and love, and a passion to serve others; training them to be disciples by sharing the Gospel and being the hands and feet of Jesus.

During this season our High School students will attend worship with their families, sermon note sheets will be available for students to use to reflect on the message they hear in our time of worship.  We are continuing to have Ignite on Sunday evenings in a socially distanced format.  We will also be picking back up our high school only evenings and locations will be communicated directly to the high school students.  Please be sure to check the youth facebook page for the latest updates or email Pastor Brandi to stay connected with events that will happen throughout the summer.

Chrysalis is available to those in 10th-12th grade as well as college students.  It is an off-site spiritual journey that youth are encouraged to attend when they feel ready.

Confirmation is for those students in 6th grade, and students through high school age that have not yet completed the class.  It is a time of learning what we believe and making a commitment to Christ.  Baptism will occur at this point if the student has not been baptized.

Christian Adventure Camp (“CAC”) is held in June at Camp Otterbein in Logan, Ohio.  This event is for those students entering 7th grade through those finishing up 12th.  College students are encouraged to be an assistant counselor.  We spend time in fellowship, study, worship and of course, have lots of fun!

Retreats/Conferences are available every year.  We attend a yearly off-site spring retreat, conferences like Dare2Share and many other events such as Spirit Song, Winterjam, concerts and organized activities like pumpkin patches and apple picking.

Vacation Bible School offers a class for 7th-12th grade students which is modified for their learning style.

The youth participate in many mission events throughout the year, including projects at the food pantry and helping those in our church that are in need.  Each year we will have an organized mission event for the students to participate in.
