May 14th, 10-12pm, we are hosting a community event “Touch a Truck.” We will fill our parking lot with vehicles that children are able to sit in and touch: police cars, DARE vehicle, SWAT vehicle, fire trucks, medic truck, 2 school buses, 2 HVAC trucks, 2 city vehicles, a truck from USIC, the library will be there, and many other vehicles! The Ice Cream Spot will be on site, so you could purchase a tasty treat while you mill about the vehicles! We will also showcase available community resources for families, i.e., Divorcecare, Agape Counseling, Griefshare, Stephen Ministries, Community Meals, Hope Over Heroin. Finally, we also ask that you bring a canned good so we can donate that to the food pantry.
If you’d like to help with this event, we’d love to have you! Also, if you have a resource you’d like to share with our community or a vehicle you’d like to bring, let us know! To submit resources, vehicles or to volunteer for this event, contact Brandi, firstname.lastname@example.org.
